NATIONAL CHAMPIONS FOR THE CLASSIC DIVISION
2021

We are a Kent, CT-based team proudly competing in the Solar Car Challenge, a Texas-based competition for high school teams to design, fundraise for, build, and race solar-powered electric cars. In 2021, our first year of competition, we won the Classic Division with 264 laps completed and the Chris Jones Award for Sportsmanship, along with the Order of the Solar Cell, awarded to Co-Captain Emily Yemington '21. Our 25 members and 2 faculty advisors hope to continue our path of engineering education, support for alternative energy, and encouraging and competitive spirit for the 2022 competition and beyond.
